Genesis Beginnings
Meet Sandy, founder of Genesis. Sandy's vision for Genesis was to create more inclusive opportunities for people of all abilities and to provide a service that ensures integrity for individuals to not only live life, but to live life well.
Sandy, along with daughter Carly, have more than 40 years combined experience in the disability field, and they manage what has become a thriving provider of NDIS services across Gippsland.
A message from Sandy
"I would personally like to welcome you to Genesis and thank you for visiting our website. We work in collaboration with a lot of services, community partners and professionals across the Gippsland region. This, along with the great team of staff here at Genesis, allows us to provide NDIS services that have tangible outcomes for each person's individual needs. I'd like to extend an invitation to anyone who wants to find out more to give us a call, or better still, call into our Newbrough office for a cuppa and a chat.
Genesis Services
At Genesis, we understand that when people are living with a condition of the body or mind (disability), whether permanent or temporary, it can make life more challenging to engage in some activities or interact with the world around them.
John talks about the service he has received with Genesis. Here he is on an outing at Blue Rock Lake with his support worker.
" Yeah, its great! Warren comes and does my lawns and Leah helps me around the house. It makes life a lot easier. Now I go to physio, I started swimming and my support coordinator has got things moving so my bathroom can be made safer. I have help getting to appointments and have been learning some new things with George, my support worker, like Makaton sign language. I wanted to learn that, so we've been doing that together. I like that I now have better insight and this 'n' that (about the NDIS and how my plan works). The most important thing for me is that I have more confidence, I'm not so overwhelmed and I'm doing more in life".
